Hi! My name is Shannon Fassbender.

Homeschooled on a bison farm, at a developmental age, someone said "what am I supposed to do with this?" after I presented a piece of paper with a drawing I was quite proud of.

I since found it discouraging to make art on traditional surfaces like paper or canvas. Though I would never ever determine another artists value by the practicality of their work; that ideology is what shaped the approach(s) that resonate with me today.

I find it safer for my inner child to make her art on surfaces that are wearable, useful, or serve an alternative purpose other than observation alone. It's a process that requires healing, though I can appreciate what's come of it thus far, and here I share that with you.
